Years 55+…

The Golden Years… kids are living on their own, yes! This is really a new beginning in your life to have fun. People are living much longer these days and there is still so much life to enjoy. As you think about scaling back your work schedule, be sure to stay active because it is the best way to maintain good health. Take pleasure in your children getting married and the birth of your grandchildren. Look forward to visits with your growing family and create memories through vacations together.

If you choose at some point, you can live in a community with your peers. Single or married, these living arrangements help you develop/keep relationships through social groups. More questions arise as you reach this stage in life. Now that your children are grown, will you downsize the house and spend more time traveling? Are you financially prepared for retirement?
