Baby Boomers!

Statistics tell us that Baby Boomers born between 1946 – 1964 hold 75% of the economy’s expendable income in the USA. As a Baby Boomer do you agree with these statistics?
We are aware of the fact that the recent recession in the USA has hurt almost everyone. It has been reported that Baby Boomers with stock market investments, real estate investments, and savings in banks lost quite a bit of money and don’t have enough years to recoup the amount they lost. Other Baby Boomers have decided not to retire due to their finances being hurt from the recession. Of course there are always individuals who do just fine.
How are YOU handling the economy that has many people in a tailspin?
It’s Shmooze time…

From the statistics that I have read, it’s still the Baby Boomers, simply because their numbers are so large, who still have the most expendable income in the U.S. However, it is also women who do most of the buying and decision making, in every age category, for products in and out of the home. Go ladies, see you in Bloomingdales!

Hi All!
I’m a Baby Boomer at 48 years old, the youngest group of Baby Boomers. Life couldn’t be better for me! I’m a lawyer and my husband is a dentist. We have 3 great kids, a dog and a few goldfish. Yes the economy hurt us a little, but in our professions we have been able to ride it out.
I’m going to tell about our family vacations in the Announcements section, share some of my favorite recipes and order T-shirts, they are so cute. This is a great website. I wish ShmoozeTalk a great deal of success!
